MESSAGE OF GRATITUDE FROM THE ED OF NYC ON YOUTHCONNEKT GAMBIA SUMMIT 2.0
On behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Youth Council, I wish to use this opportunity to thank you all for making our event colourful. The YouthConnekt Gambia Summit 2.0 has been described by many as a great success as it was able to bring together more than 400 Youth, women, men and other relevant stakeholders.
The success of this event could not have been possible without the intervention of the Government of the Gambia, the UN Agencies, the Media, the moderators, panellists, and delegates.
As the Executive Director of the Council, I wish to commend the Government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports for accepting this initiative.
We wish to thank the UNDP for fully funding this initiative, not forgetting all other UN Agencies such as UNICEF for funding our side event.
To our moderators, panellists, and judges we are grateful, you all did this with class and dedication.
To the delegates, you have demonstrated maturity throughout the sessions. Your punctuality is unprecedented, you have defied all odds, and you were on time despite the stubborn rain and the heavy traffic. We are proud that you were at the venue as early as 6:30 am. This is unprecedented, and you all need to celebrate yourself.
To our able innovative Pitchers, you all did well.
Congratulations
.
We wish to also thank the Media for making our event public, our team of photographers and the design team, well done.
To the NOC and staff of NYC, you have done well, the sleepless night paid off, thank you all. NYC is proud of you all.
We look forward to seeing you all, continue networking and with all of us we will reach the promised land.
