The YouthConnekt Gambia Focal Point Deliberated at the UNDP/Accalab Youth Engagement

Basiru Jaye, the YouthConnekt Gambia Focal Point deliberated at the UNDP/Accalab Youth Engagement with the UNDP Africa Regional Director, Ms Ahunna Eziakonwa.

The dialogue was centered around on how to accelerate and scale up results through three powerful enablers – Strategic Innovation, Development Finance and Digitalization in the Gambian and youths context.

Mr. Basiru Jaye emphasized “To achieve the YouthConnekt goals everyone must play a part, be it the Government or the Private Sector. It is not what you do before the camera, it is what you do behind the scenes that is more important”.

“I am so inspired by the Youth of the Gambia not just the talent, but the vision, passion and commitment they have” ~ Ms Ahunna Eziakonwa, the Director UNDP Africa Bureau.
