Commission on Political Debates

The Commission on Political Debates is a non-profit and non-partisan organization registered in 2018 accordance with established laws of The Gambia. The Commission seeks to serve The Gambia in its pursuit for political correctness, good governance, peace, and competitiveness in the world of politics. With a mission of ensuring popular participation in national elections, the commission promotes political awareness, accountability, and transparency as cornerstone for rule of law and democracy. In partnership with the IVLP and the National Parliament, we have organized the first ever Presidential Debates in The Gambia in 2016. This also gave birth to the first National Assembly Debates in 2017 and Mayoral Debates in 2018.
